USB 3.0 Flash Drive is a great affordable option for Trailer and Very Short Film DCPs. 15 minutes or less. It will be preformatted EXT2/3 to ensure compatibility for all projection systems. Although a CRU drive is the safest and most reliable media to put your DCP on, the flash drive works for DCPs that are 15 minutes or less.
Your DCP in its file format, Electronic File Delivery sent to you via a one time downloadable link or placed on your hard drive. This is not suitable for sending the DCP to a theater. Choose DCP Delivery to Theater for that. See FAQ. Festivals and theaters require specially formatted drives to ingest a DCP. If you choose this option we also recommend you to choose a hard drive unless you know you don’t need one.
